Split Stays--Why do people do them?

I'm doing one on a 4 night stay over Christmas. Reason being to save a ton of money. Shades of Green the 24th and 25th, AKL the 26th and 27th. Even with the generous CM discount a friend has been kind enough to hook me up with, Christmas rack rates are $$$! Shades is only costing me $98 a night, plus we can walk to the Poly monorail from it for easy MK access Christmas Day. We are saving a bundle doing it this way. I have done split stays in the past for the same reason. My last one was 3 nights AKL CL and 2 nights in the much pricier CR Tower Club. Split stays give me the opportunity to experience things that may not have been financially possible otherwise!
