Split stays and luggage transfers

I have an upcoming trip at the end of February, and I am toying with the idea of a split stay. I've done these before and I know Disney will transfer my luggage for me. This time, however, I'll be starting off at a Disney resort, and I'll end up at the Dolphin. Will Disney transfer my luggage still, since it's not technically a Disney property?
