My older son refuses to miss a week of school so he is going to fly down and meet us at Disney. Do we need to make two reservations one for the 4 of us for the first half and one for the 5 of us for the second half? Thanks!

I would suggest booking a room-only and putting all 5 of you on the reservation, then purchasing your tickets separately and linking them to MDE so you can all make FP+ reservations at the same time.

Easy enough to add him to the room when he arrives, just make sure you book a room that will hold 5.

First, kudos to your son for not wanting to take off school:) Once our oldest DD got into 3rd grade, we will only take her out of school a day or two at the most, it's just so much harder these days to catch up. I agree with DisneyWishes14 and do a RO reservation that accommodates 5 people and then do tickets separately.
