Two sets but you can still use your first set as it will still be linked.

Ms told me today on the phone that if I call and tell them at least 32 days before arrival they can cancel the second set- this is pretty new as far as I know but I'm very happy that I won't be getting 3 sets for our upcoming trip!

Just got off the phone with MS and was told there re no promises made that only one set of MB's will be sent ,that they can only make a request on my behalf.Something tells me we're going to end up with 2 sets.

We have a split stay coming up as well. So if we show up at the second resort with the magic bands from the first resort, that will be fine? Even if they send us 2 sets, I would prefer to pack only one. We currently have probably 20 magic bands in my kids dress up box!

We just got back yesterday after 4 nights at VGF and 4 nights at BWV. We had bands for both resorts but asked the CM at the BWV checkin if we could just keep using the bands we had been using at VGF and she said that was fine. Worked just fine and we didn't have to worry about re-linking tickets or anything.

If you don't go on and customize the second set, as far as I remember they won't be sent.

They will offer you a set at checkin but you can decline them and they will activate your original set for the room.

I had a lot of fun with magic bands last February as I had split stays. I was there several weeks and split stayed at VGF, BLT, AKV Club, and Kidani.

This year I am doing AKV value, then on to BWV. I am staying at HH resort for 2 nights on the way down in late January. 6 points a night for a studio is probably the cheapest room in South Carolina, lol. Driving down that time of year is great! You leave the cold and sooner or later it starts warming up! Love this part of it.

Yup, that's what happened to me. I'd accidentally packed my second MB when I was changing resorts, so I showed up at the second resort with my "first" MB. "No problem" said the CM. He proceeded to do some magical Mickey head to Mickey head stuff, making the light go round and round (no doubt, expecting me to go "Ooooh, you're so smart! And that's so Magical!") and voila! I'm now the proud owner of a brand-new, never used MB.

If you go straight from Resort 1 to a park BEFORE checking in at Resort 2 ( but you've checked in online), will your first MB work? Also, are ALL of one's old MBs automatically linked to an annual pass so it doesn't really matter which one you show up with?

Make POSITIVE you check OUT of resort one (it can cause issues) but you do NOT need to check into resort two to use your MB.

Your MB is just looking at your MDE account, I have...16 magic bands and counting but I still use my first one that I got.
