We are currently booked for two rooms at AKL. I am trying to convince dh into doing a split stay so that we can book one room for five for a few nights. Up until right before we booked AKL he was always interested in staying at Poly but one evening he and my ds were looking at the Disney site and my ds fell in love with AKL. I just don't like paying for two rooms when we could book one room somewhere else.
Are there any suggestions for a split stay or any reasons why we shouldn't do a split stay?

I'm doing a split stay from ASMo (4 nights) to POR (3 nights). When you book it (if you end up doing it) just make sure you get a CM who is knowledgeable about it. I got a couple dorks before I ended up dealing with someone who actually knew what they were doing. (e.g. if you're staying 7 nights/8 days - get a 7 days park hopper and then a 1 day ticket - it's weird but it's easier than buying a 4 days park hopper and a 3 day park hopper). I think you should do a split stay though, make as much use to your time while you can.
