Thinking of splitting our upcoming 6 night stay. I currently have both YC and CR Garden Wing booked. We have not stayed at either resort. Which resort should we start our trip with?

Epcot gets busy on weekends. So if you have any weekend nights, do those at CR.

Planned the trip so that we didn’t have full days in the parks on the weekends. We arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Saturday So those won’t be heavy park days for us 👍

Different resorts but same somewhat general concept, but FYI, here’s a recent thread that had some good posts about the MK & Epcot/DHS area split stay order: https://www.disboards.com/threads/split-stay-at-riviera-and-gf.3813709/

I vote CR first then YC second. :-)
Thanks for the link. I was leaning towards CR 1st because I feel like YC will feel more upscale. In reverse I may feel like the theming is lacking in the CR wing room. I wonder how crowds will be 11/8-11/11 vs 11/11-11/14. I prefer to stay CR on the days where MK will be less crowded.

Last summer we did CR-lake view/YC-CL. We did CR so we could go hard at the parks (mk) the first couple of days before we got tired then switched over YC and took it easier park/wise and spent more time at resort & SAB. Enjoy your trip.

That sounds like a great plan! 😊

Also voting for CR gw room first and then YC second.

btw I liked the garden wing; it was very quiet, and CR tower is steps away.

We did that exact split in August! We started at CR and then moved to YC. As with the poster above, we also spent a lot of time at MK while at CR and really didn't have much relax-time (we also went to AK while at CR). Then we moved to YC and enjoyed a more relaxed pace with pool time and easy walks to both HS and Epcot.

It worked out great and it was a really nice split of the two different areas and two distinct resorts. I think you’ll really enjoy splitting btwn the two of them. When is your trip? Have a great time 😃
Our trip is 11/8-11/14. I’m looking forward to the split. This will be our 1st stay at these resorts! 😊
