Split stay with free dining?

If I make a one night ressie for 8/23 and then a seperate 3 night ressie for 8/24-8/27 would the free dining kick in on the 24th (I have checked online and it is available at ASMusic those dates)? Would you need to physically check out and check into a different room or do they try and keep you in the same place when you do a split ressie?

dining will kick in on the day of package start, you can book room only for one night and then do the free dining package, they will make it a continuing reservation. For most part they try to arrange that you do not have to move rooms ( but there is the chance ) but you will have to go down to guest services of resort the am of the package start and recheck in. Just make sure the cast member marks it as a continuing reservation.

Price this out before you do it...I'm in a similar situation (free dining starting in the middle of our trip) but splitting our stay wound up to be too much additional money to make free dining worth it.
