We added another night to our trip but couldn't get the same resort so now we are looking at a split stay, unless something else opens up!

We arrive at the Coronado Thursday night, then are going to MK Friday morning. Our options are....

1. Put luggage in the car, drive to MK and be there by 7:30 for 8AM opening, then check in to AoA that evening. We don't stay at the parks late.

2. Get up early Friday morning, drive to AoA, check in and drop off luggage, hop on the bus to MK. Again, we'd like to be there by opening at 8 so that feels like a lot!

3. Leave luggage in the car at the Coronado, take the bus from the Coronado to MK. When done at MK, take the bus back to Coronado and drive to AoA.

Thanks in advance :)

Another option, I guess... we could drive to AoA Friday morning, park, leave luggage in the car and go straight to the buses. Would it be a problem parking all day without checking in first??

I'd consider going with option 1. Maybe you could dump your bags with Bell Services and ask them to move them to AoA for you????

we could, but then we would have to move the car either going to the park or later. Might as well keep our luggage. It would make sense if we were careless!!

ok so maybe the best options are...

have Coronado transfer luggage, still drive to AoA thEn take the bus?

or have Coronado transfer luggage then drive to Mk?

or like sponica said, just drop luggage at AoA? We will be in a hurry.

If you're going to be at the park all day or most of the day, have coronado transfer it...some people don't like this as your luggage doesn't arrive until the afternoon.

Another option if you have more than one adult, ONE person drives the car to AoA and drops off the luggage, takes transportation from there, everyone else goes from Coronado.

Where is luggage assistance at AoA? Does the process take long. This will be around 7 AM!
Split stays at value resorts are handled differently than at moderate/deluxe resorts at least as of last December. I called luggage services the night before told them when I would be out of my room and confirmed the number of bags. I left the bags there and they came to pick them up and transfer them. At a deluxe you call bell services in the morning when you're ready and they come get them while you are still present.

Or play it by ear in the AM. If you're running late, have bell services at Coronado hold it for the day, you can always pick it up in the evening then go to AoA.

I am liking this idea!!! We have four adults

This. You're going to have to drive, and stop and park the car twice anyway.

Resorts don't handle split stays - since they don't exist :D. But yes, Value Resorts handle luggage transfers differently. Heck, they handle luggage differently, period.

Carless I mean 🤣

I just wanted to point out that if you go to your original post & click in the bottom left corner you can 'edit' your original post by clicking on the down arrow & change the wording.

As far as your request, my first thought was #3, but given how far MK is from most resorts, I can certainly see where # 1 is less redundant. But, given that bus arrival & departure gets you out of the monorail/ferry requirement of the TTC, I think I'm leaning toward # 3.

Can I leave the luggage with the Coronado at 7AM?

when would we get it at AoA? By 7PM would be my hope.

Definitely.

The latest our luggage has shown up at resort #2 on transfer day is 5:15PM.
On the other hand, there was that time I handed over my luggage at Pop Century around 8 AM, and it still hadn't showed up at 7:30. On the other end of Pop Century.

When we've done a split stay in the summer, we did not want to leave our stuff in the hot car so we stopped at our new resort before heading to the parks to drop off our stuff and checked-in.
By 3, we had our room assignment and picked up our stuff.
Because we had medical equipment, we preferred to move our own belongings and know they were out of the heat and did not have anything on top of them (bell service added a "fragile" sticker to the bags).
