I did a quick search and didn't see anything for this exact situation, so here goes. We have a room and ticket package at GF for mid-October, booked using a 35% bounceback discount. In looking at airfare, it turns out that it will be a lot cheaper to fly in the day before (Friday), so I booked a night at POR using a room only discount to start our trip (couldn't get the discount for the extra night at GF, plus I think my DD will love the royal rooms).
When I look at FP+ in MDE, it says that I will not be able to make FP+ ressies until 60 days before by GF stay, even though I will now be staying on property the night before. I am assuming that this is because my tickets are linked to the package. I would definitely like to get a jump on FP ressies since we are in fact spending an extra night on property (really want to get FoF and MSEP, and have heard these are difficult during party season).
So, my question is, how can I make it so that I can book FP at 60 days from my POR stay? Since the GF stay is considered to be a package (even though the discount was room only), can I keep the discount if I remove the tickets and just buy them separately? I will be pretty annoyed to be paying to stay onsite for the extra night and not have the ability to book 60 days out.
Thanks for any suggestions!
