Scenario:
Have 3 rooms booked at BC for 3 nights. (Room only with a 40% PIN)
Folks in one room would like to go 2 days early. They would like to stay at a value and do the QSDP (2 adults and 1 under 3). They also want to add the DP to the 3 nights stay at the BC. What type of ticket do they need to purchase? I am thinking that they will have to buy tix for both stays. (a 2 day tix at the value and 3 day tix for the BC stay.) Is there a way to buy a 5 day tix with a slip stay and two different dining plans?

No, they would need to buy two separate Tickets in order to be able to have two different Dining Plans for two different reservations. Not very cost effective unless they get the 5 day ticket for the first stay and then the 2 day Ticket for the second stay and just hold on to the 2 day Ticket, not use it for this trip and save it for another trip

Actually they'd only need to buy a one day ticket for everyone for the BC stay. All that's needed to buy the DDP is a one day ticket. The only time a two day ticket is required is if they booked free dining.

They wouldn't save enough on any DDP for 2 nights to justify the purchase of 2 sets of tickets.

I would say book room at Pop and then book package at BC with tickets. They can pick up the tickets on the BC package a few days early to use when they are at Pop.

Best to call and check before settling on tix packages. When we split our stay btw Pop and SSR, we had tix and DDP on SSR and were able to use the multi-day park tix early for our night at Pop. Good to look into, just to be sure, in case the policy has changed. Do note, though, that the tix we got were paper ones, and could not be put on our plastic KTTW cards -- even after we changed to our "home" resort that the tix were associated with. These paper cards are flimsier, and we had to get one replaced on Day 3 bcz it got a rumpled edge.

Also, getting QSDP for 2 nights at Pop might not be $-efficient if they are getting DDP or QSDP at BC. Assuming Day 1 is a travel day, they will have maybe 1.5 days to spend their credits. With early check-in at BC on Day 3, they'll have all those dining credits available that day. A tad less convenient, but it might be cheaper to pay OOP those first days. On the other hand, if the group is planning on 2-credit meals (character or signature dining), then 2 DPs makes sense.
