split stay questions please

I think I have finally decided on spending our first two nights at Pop, and then moving on to the Beach Club. I will be traveling with my DD4 and no manpower to help move things so just wondering how I would accomplish the move? Does Disney transfer your bags to the next hotel? What does the new hotel do with your bags while you wait for your room to be ready? Do you have access to your things while waiting for your room. My thought was to have breakfast at Pop then head over to the BC to spend some time at SAB and explore the Boardwalk while waiting for our room...how does this work, and more importantly, can I do it alone?

Yes, Disney does transfer your bags for you. They are kept at the new resort's Bell Services area until you pick them up. But you may not be able to access your luggage for quite some time. Each resort makes a daily luggage delivery to the other resorts, so it could be several hours before your bags arrive at your new resort. If you'd like to have access to certain items, you should put them in a carryon case and take it to the new resort with you. If you decide to go exploring, you can check your case at Bell Services and pick it up with the rest of your luggage when you return.
