Split stay question

Quick question - my wife and I are headed to CSR in September into early October for free dining and F&WF. We would like to add a couple of days at the front end but of course there is no availability to add to our existing reservation. We are considering going for two nights at a value and then moving to CSR for our FD reservation.

My questions are:
1) any chance they will add the FD onto the 2 days at the beginning by modifying the reservation? ( i doubt it but never hurts to ask)
2) If no to question 1, will they allow us to add days onto our park tickets and access them at the start of the two day piece and then throughout the normal reservation instead of having to pay full fare for the two days?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

1. No...it's a totally separate reservation. If you could swing 3 nights at the value (the minimum for the offer), there is an outside chance that the promotion could be available for the value resort you choose....but I wouldn't bet on it.
2. Yes

1. Absolutely no chance because it will be a completely separate reservation. Free dining requires a minimum three night stay and you would have to buy an additional set of tickets for everyone if free dining is available at the value resort, but the cost of the additional tickets would probably not make FD worthwhile.

2. You can activate your package tickets up to 10 days before the start of your package at Guest Relations at a park or Disney Springs. However, you will not be able to book FP+ for those two days until you arrive at DW and activate the tickets. Your dining plan will not be available until the day your package starts.

we have done split stays our last three trips, we like trying two hotels/trip. It is so easy to do and very worth it for the longer trip!
Hope it all works out for you!
