Split stay question

We are currently booked for BLT with a package, but we want to arrive a day early and stay at a moderate. The intent was to be fresh and ready to go the first day.

My main question is if we do a room only the first night, can we somehow get our package tix a day early? We will be arriving late and have no intention of hitting a park.

Second- would we be better off (ease, not money) if we just add a day to the front of our package? Then I assume we could get our full KTTW at the first check in.

You can pick up your tickets up to 3 days early at guest relations at a park or DTD. Not sure why you'd go through that trouble though if you don't plan a park. Dining credits will not start until your pkg start date. You will have to check out then go to CR to check in to get your kttw card even if you stay at CR the night before you will have to check out then back in

Simply put, we wanted to avoid the second check in before we get the park tickets. We know we have to check in again and about the meals. DH just wanted to head straight to the parks.

We aren't paying rack rate anyway. I guess it may just be easier to skip the new discount, take our old one and add the moderate stay to the package.
