Split stay question

I am hoping to go for Thanksgiving 2011. I have a pin for 40% off deluxe starting the Sunday after. We are thinking of arriving on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and staying at a value until our PIN kicks in Sunday and then switching to AKL. We want the dining plan too. What is the most economical way to do it when splitting the stay? I know if I tack most park admission on to the first leg, it's cheaper but don't I have to buy park passes on the second leg to get dining? It's been a while since I planned our last trip and I am a little rusty on the rules.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone tell me what the price difference between the quick service dining and regular dining plan are each day?

I think I have it figured out. Does this make sense? If I arrive on Thanksgiving day, stay at POP until my PIN kicks in on that Sunday...on that package I will tack the 6 day park hopper and quick service dining, according the online reservations, this cost is $1571. When my PIN is available, we move to AKL, have 1 day base tickets, regular dining and my room figures out to $1721 to stay until December 2nd.

I figure if we just come from the 27th to 2nd with hoppers that would total $2600. Maybe it's new math but staying the extra 3 days only adds $490 by my calculations.

Does that make sense or do I want this to work so bad that I am tricking myself into looking at it that way?:confused3

Can't really help you with the math unless you include the details, but according to what I am reading above:
POP (full-price room only?) you're 'buying' QS plan; AKL (room only using 40% code) you're 'buying' DDP. Is there a free dining offer @ POP in there anywhere? If so, you could chose to upgrade from QS to DP for around $10 per day, per adult.

With more info we can provide a better opinion :cutie:
