Can you do dining with a split stay? If so how do I do that? Thinking of four nights ASMO and four nights Poly.

Thanks

You cannot do the dining plan on a split stay unless you book the dining plan for each reservation of your split. In that case you would also be buying one-day tickets for each person in your party for each reservation as well, since that is required to make it a package with the dining.

You might consider booking the dining plan with your first reservation and that way you could upgrade your park tickets for the entire length of your stay. Of course you'd only have the dining plan for the first half of your trip, but if you plan it so you do your more expensive meals on those days, then you might still come out about the same as having the dining plan for the entire stay.

My apology to the OP for hijacking this topic, but I'm just curious about something. (I'm NOT upset at all - just curious.) Why do posts that have absolutely nothing to do with rates and codes/discounts keep getting moved by the mods from the resorts board to this board (as this one was)?

I posted a question on the resorts board a couple of days ago concerning CHECKING IN at my RESORT (WL) with a one-night only reservation on the beginning and/or end of my stay and it got moved to this board. AGAIN - the question had nothing to do with a rate or a code but more to do with resort-related specifics. Since when do check in/out or split stay related topics NOT apply to the resorts?

I'm really confused . . .

To the OP: Yes, you can have both dining and a split stay if you book TWO separate packages. You must have 2 reservations to do a split stay anyway, so making them both MYW plus dining shouldn't be a problem. Just adjust your ticket days on the 2nd stay so that you don't have more park days than you need. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Just remember that if you book both reservations as MYWWD packages, that you will have to purchase at least a one-day park ticket for everyone on the reservation for the second package. Sometimes that extra cost isn't worth it to some people for a second package if they don't want or need the extra 1-day ticket. You could save that 1-day ticket and upgrade it later on a future trip, but if you don't want the expense now, you might just book one part of your trip as a package and do room-only for the second half.
