Split stay problem

So I called this morning all ready to make my dining reservations and found out I could only make ADRS for the first 2 days of my stay because I have a "split stay" (staying BLT MK view new years eve, then switching to a lake view room for the remainder of the stay). This is a pain. Now I'll have to call back tmw to make the rest. Any one else have this happen? I've talked to a couple other people who have done split stays who told me they were able to make reservations for the entire stay at 180 days.

that doesn't really make sense, because it's 180 + 10 days. you should have been able to make ADRs for 10 days from the start of your first reservation

Did you try online? Or call back? CM might just have misunderstood... I agree that you should have been able to make the ADRs.

you should be able to make them all now. I had a split stay last year and made reservations for the whole trip at the 180 day mark. Just log onto the disney dining site and make you reservations instead of waiting for tomorrow am.

But since each is a separate reservation, it is not yet 180 days before the second reservation.

I tried online. It won't accept my confirmation number for the first part of my stay. It accepted the 2nd confirmation number but not the first.

That shouldn't matter and hasn't previously mattered. You should be able to reserve for 10 days after checking-into a reservation, period.

I had issues with online because of my DVC confirmation number too. (Fortunately, we're just two rooms and not a split stay so calling the regular dining line worked out fine.)

I think you could call MS and have them book the ADRs for you ... explain that because of your split-stay you can't book using your 180+10, which is problematic because it is a busy time of the year.

Good luck whatever you choose to do.

I had the same issue with a multiple split DVC stay. I called MS and they said they could make a "dummy" reservation (with no splits) for me for the number of days of my stay. I was able to make all the reservations I wanted except for those where dates had not been released yet.

I called back the next day and MS did the same thing to book another time.

Today I called the recreation line to ask about the specialty cruises and the CM was able to view my entire split reservation and I had no trouble booking a boat for day 9 of our trip. She also offered to help with dining and had no trouble with the split reservation and trying to book dates.

Online booking cannot accept my split reservation number - I would just call and get a CM who knows what they are doing or call DVC MS.

Good Luck!

True! I've done alot of split stays and have always been able to use the 180+10. The last time I did this was this past Dec when I had a split stay at CSR/YC. I went online 180 days out from the CSR stay and made all my ADRs for both stays.:confused3

Up at the crack of dawn to do my ADRs and the reservation system only recognizes the 2nd half of my stay. :sad1:
Called WDW Dine and they have the same issue, can't book for me. I hope in 90 mins when MS open they can help me.
