My DH and I arrive at POR 4/29 - I thought I'd surprise him with a split stay. We are there for 9 days. What is the general consensus amongst you all?

Just 2 adults at a deluxe resort....I'd go with an Epcot resort. That way, you can enjoy the boardwalk entertainment at night, dancing, ESPN, etc. You can walk to Epcot countries each night for a nice dinner and Illuminations, then just walk back to your resort. You can boat or walk over to HS/MGM. The entire area is beautiful, quiet, fun. As far as which resort, I think BWI and YC are more adult-oriented than BC is. Personally, we prefer BC because we have 2 little ones and the lobby area is busy as there is a character breakfast there.

If you are thinking you'd like to be near MK, then really you have your choice of 3 great monorail resorts (CR, Poly, GF). If those prices are too steep (not sure what your budget is...), then WL is also an MK resort and not on the monorail loop so the price is better. You can take a boat to MK from WL. It's a gorgeous resort.

If you want something unique, then AKL is the final deluxe. You can get a savanah room and view animals right from your balcony! And the food is unique there too.

Hope this helps a bit. Happy planning!

Thank you very much, you really know your stuff. I think we've decided on BWI - like you said, there is so much to do and as I remember it (from the day we went resort hopping) it is beautiful as well.

Take care, and thanks again!:woohoo:
