We're doing a split stay and will be moving to Art of Animation after spending 2 nights at Pop Century. My plan has been to get everyone up on Monday morning (day of our move) and have us all work together to get our bags down to the lobby so we can check out. Then I figured we would all roll them across the bridge to Art of Animation to check in over there. If our room is ready we'll dump our bags and head out for the day, if not, we'll leave our bags with bell services and then head out for the day.
How much time would you allow for this process? We're a family of 6 (me, dh, 2 teens, 9yo and 8yo).
Would you do it differently? Things were majorly messed up the last time we tried split stays (couldn't charge to the room w/ our magicbands on one portion of the stay and then our dining credits were separated by room on another leg of the stay so I didn't have access to all the credits on my magicband) so I'm nervous. That's why I want to make sure to physically check out of Pop Century and then physically check in at AoA. We'll also be starting our dining plan with the AoA check in, so I feel like I want to make sure that is all squared away before we head to a park for the day.
