Hi all!

It looks like we might be able to do a trip late October. Unfortunately, the Army doesn't always give us alot of notice. Thinking October 20-27 with the first few nights at the Fort in a tent and the last few at Poly or SOG. Should I book my Fort days ASAP? Seems like yalls post showed it really busy around Halloween. If I book can I cancel or change dates?

Anyone else ever done a split stay? I can't do 6 or 7 nights in a tent. Thought this would be a good compromise.

Also was going to get the waterpark option with our 4day military tickets. Worth it? Or just use Fort pools and get 4day hoppers instead?

TIA. Roll tide ;)

If booking around Halloween, you have to do it now. Just checked and the 20th thru 24th a campsite was available. But they do go quickly. Tent sites are usually available longer than RV sites but it is a very busy time of the year.

The best answer I can give you is War Eagle. Or geaux Tigers. (Louisiana native, stationed in alabama twice)

Now that that's out of the way.... We always did the military 4 day tickets until the past 2 trips. We did water parks once and it was worth the few bucks it cost us. I think that year we didnt do hopper instead so the price was the same we normally paid. Anyway, I say add on. It doesn't cost much and it gives you more options for things you may not have tried before.

We did a split stay in past. You end up losing 1/2 a day or so, packing and unpacking. If this is a once in a lifetime trip, I would go all resort. you will sleep better. Poly also has a pretty awesome pool. We did 1/2 at Art of An and 1/2 at poly. We loved it, although we had a cold snap on halloween.

This would be my kids' 4th trip. So not once in a lifetime. They have never stayed on property though. You have a good point about packing back up and moving and losing time for that....
