Split Stay - Moving Perishables

I think I have to do this, tell me if I'm nuts.

We're staying at Pop for three nights (2 adults), and then moving to OKW. On check out day at Pop, I would like to leave our luggage and a styrofoam cooler with milk and lunchmeat and mayo etc. (preferably leaving it in our room after advising luggage assistance to get it and move it).

We gotta be up and out for an early adr (CP at MK) on check out day from Pop (we are not renting a car). We will be at OKW to check in early afternoon.

If this is really a horrible idea, I guess we could take all of our stuff in a cab super early am to check in at OKW, (and that way OKW can put our stuf right into their cooler) and catch a bus to MK from there?

We do it all the time..when we move from POP to VWL(DH likes a cold Beer ). Make sure you let bell service know how many pcs. of luggage they are transporting the day before the move (include the cooler at one) and I usually write our Name and destination on the lid with a sharpie just in case it gets seperated

Thank you so much!! I can't tell you how relieved I am!! Sure didn't want to wake up, get one of those big carts, pack up my own stuff and bring back to luggage services!

When does your stuff get to the 2nd resort? I understand it can vary, but it would be wonderful if it would be at OKW by check in time, maybe mid afternoon.

Do you tell luggage services what time it's available to be moved in the morning? Or do they just get it when they get a chance?

(sorry!) one more thing? do you leave a tip? I would like to. Not sure how do to that - just leave an envelope marked "luggage assistance" with the bags?

That is the down side.. I have had it arrive before me once (noonish) Most times around 2 or 3 and once I had to keep calling and calling the stuff finally arrived at 5.. not a happy camper.

I call the evening before to let them know that I wanted my luggage moved and what time I would be departing. I also tell the CM at check in

That works... or you can stop by Bell Service on your way to the parks that a.m to let them know the luggage is ready...hint, hint..tip
