I have a 14 day ticket. Staying at Old key west using DVC rented points for first 2 nights and then off site the rest of the time.

Will my magic bands work ok for the whole trip not just the time I am staying at OKW?

Yes, your MagicBands will work for any ticket that you have in your MDE account. It will work for any trips you take later, too.

Great thank you. I thought so but been told otherwise so just wanted to check.

The magic band is just a link to your MDE account. The only thing that's stored on it is an identifier that points to your MDE account. Any magic band you have linked to your account will work for any WDW visit.
