Split stay luggage transfer?

We added a night at the AofA before our stay at the GF. When I asked the CM on the phone about luggage transfers, she said I would have to call the front desk and if bell services "had staff available" they would "try" to take care of moving our luggage. "Try" is not acceptable. I plan on just having a carryon and will just take mine to GF for check in but my Son and daughter have kids and need to bring a bit more with them and will have larger luggage. Im not sure I want to deal with CMs "trying" to get my luggage to me. These cutbacks in staff are going way to far.

I have never had an issue with bell services transferring luggage for a split stay. Phone CM's are notorious for not knowing, well, quite frankly, anything about operations at the resorts and parks. You won't have an issue.

We have done it many times. No reservation or permission required. Every resort has a baggage transfer that collects bags all day and gets them delivered around 3 or 4. Just drop bags with bell desk in morning and tell them where you want the bags to be. However I have also just taxied over to a new resort in the morning with all my bags. A Couple times I've done this the room was ready by 11 am so I could just move right in.

Cedric, I think we may go with a taxi as well. Transfer all the luggage myself so we know it will be available when needed. I'll just get it all there while the rest of our party of 11 go to the MK in the morning. Since we are at the GF, I can quickly join them. With little kids, I don't feel comfortable not having access to things we may need in case of a problem or just wanting to go swimming and not have suits available.

Phone CMs are notorious for less than accurate info.
Luggafe Assistence will transfer your bags to the GF. But...it isn't a speedy thing. I always hand my bags off before 8am. I have yet to get my bags before 5pm. I now take a cab to the new resort, with my bags. That way I can access my bags if needed, even if my room isn't ready.

Simply horrible that phone CM wouldn't know a basic service offered by Disney like luggage transfer. Ludicrous quite honestly. It's not done only if staff is available, it is always done. We do split stays all the time and love that service.
Seeing how we drop bags off with bell services at Resort A, head to the park and don't get to Resort B till later in the day I don't care how long it takes for them to move the bags. I'm at the parks, I don't need them anyway.

If there is some instance that we may need something earlier then I will take a single bag to the new resort and drop it with bell services but I never move all my bags my self. I'm a chronic over packer with heavy suitcases that often hit the weight limit. I handle those suckers myself as little as possible.
