Split Stay Help Please

We would like to book a grand villa for an extended family trip in Oct 2022. We have enough points to book three nights at BLT and three at AKL both at 11 months out. What we don't have is enough of either, with the borrowing still at 50% to book the 7th night. What would you experts recommend? It will be a Sat - Sat stay. We will also have some SSR points but no one would want to move for just one night. I was figuring I should book BLT for the first 3 nights. Should I then book AKL for the last 3 nights and hope we can book the middle night at either resort at 7 months? Or should I book AKL for the 3 days right after BLT? Is there any rhyme or reason that a Friday night is available more or less frequently than a Tuesday night? I know there used to be a lot more availability prior to everyone being overloaded with covid points so it is stressing me out since everyone counts on me to be the planner. Thank you!!

I would book the 3 nights at each back to back and hope for the best. What I would do is make the first night the single one and not the last because then you open the 7 month window earlier.

Leaving a date "open" in the middle could mess with tickets, ADR, etc. Book back to back. Also I'd suggest AKL for the end. We love it at the end because at the beginning we are more rush, rush, rush and towards the ends we slow down a bit. AKL is a great slow paced resort since it has much to do, see and eat.

Thank you both so much! I would have never thought to put the single date at the beginning but it makes perfect sense! I just figured Saturday would book quickly so I would start there but I haven't had to book a crazy split before. I definitely will do AKL at the end. You are right we will definitely need to relax by then and I like the pools much better too. And I can book with just my name to book as quickly as possible then modify and add the other people? What was suggested makes sense.

But since you said you have SSR points as well (enough for one night of grand villa at SSR I assume), there is another option to weight.
Book the middle one night stay at SSR now. when 7 month comes you can modify that night to AKL or BLT and merge reservations.
This way depending on availability, you have a better chance of getting that night at AKL/BLT at 7 month.

Also I know you said no one want to move for just one night, but just in case you got stuck with SSR, what you can do is:
Ask bell service to send you luggage directly from BLT to AKL, just pack a light day pack for your one night at SSR.
