Hello!

We're planning a trip in a few weeks and are presently booked GF -> CBR -> CBR. Because of the fluky reservation system, had to reserve two separate reservations at CBR and haven't been able to combine them.

The day after our second night we're going to DHS, so was thinking of changing the middle reservation to either the Swan or Dolphin. Does Bell Services transfer bags to these hotels? I know they're not technically within the WDW system but they're kissing cousins it seems.

Thanks!

Pre-Covid they did, not sure about now. You might want to ask on the Swan/Dolphin forum.

I'm interested in this, as well. I have a AoA/Dolphin split stay later this year. I'm not planning on Disney transferring our stuff to Dolphin, but it sure would make everything easier if it did.

Since I posted I spoke with guest services at Swan/Dolphin (Swolphin?) who said they did not interplay with Disney guest services since they’re Marriott. Now, this contradicts a Disney Mom panel post from 2019 but obviously the world’s changed a lot since then.

I posted the same question in another portion of the forum. I think someone posted back in February or March 2021 that the luggage was transferred from a Disney resort to Swan/Dolphin.

Pre-Covid they did (as has been mentioned). Emerging from Covid, they did not for the first few months. However a PP referenced some recent discussion on the main Swan/Dolphin thread that transferring was back. I have not yet seen mass reports of it being back (it's not all that common a split so reports are infrequent), but assuming the reports art accurate/consistent, it seems available.

Always appreciate first hand reports on these kinds of things - so if you end up doing this split please come back and let us know how the luggage transferring goes. Thanks!

We stayed at the Contemporary Resort in March and they transferred our bags to the Swan. Seemed to be standard procedure when we asked.

We are checking in at the swan today! First time staying there. Is it worth $19 a night to upgrade to a resort view vs a standard view? Would a balcony be worth $30 a night extra? Just trying avoid a really sad view, but over 7 nights the cost would add up.

Worth it is subjective. I always just book a standard view, unless you have a balcony how often are you going to be standing and looking out your window? It might depend on your plans. Are you going to be out of the room most of the time or are you a lounge in the room type of person. I love a balcony, I love to get up early in the morning, make a cup of coffee and watch the resort wake up. However, I wouldn't pay extra for it, especially at Swan/Dolphin. I'm not sure about Swan because I've never had a balcony there, but I've had one at Dolphin and they aren't very big. Big enough for a chair and a small table. I've had some pretty good views from standard and if I had a bad one, I just didn't open my shades.
