Split Stay DVC - non-DVC

Hey everyone, my spouse and I are planning a 2025 trip to Disney World and might rent DVC points for the first time. We would like to do a split stay - Pop Century for the first half of our trip then move to a DVC monorail resort for the remainder (4 days/4 days). Is this going to work with the DVC and non-DVC thing? Like will My Disney Experience get confused or anything? Having never rented DVC I don't know the ins and outs. Thank you!!

No, once you input the two resort reservation confirmation numbers, to MDE they’re just two consecutive Disney resort reservations. One being DVC and one not makes no difference whatsoever to MDE.

Note, however, that being two separate reservations means you have two 60-day ADR booking windows - but the LLMP system works as if they’re one!

We did a split stay renting points at Old Key West and the Beach Club. Had no issues at all with MDE.

@CarolynFH is right - we've done it a number of times.

Just chiming in to point out that they will transfer your luggage for you for "free" (you should tip). It's a really nice service.

I agree with the post above. We have had a non dvc stay and DVC stay without any issues with MDE in the past. We also used the free luggage transfer. Just make sure you get what's needed through the afternoon out of it.

Been doing this for years,they move your luggage. Just put reservation numbers in mde
