Split Stay DVC Choice Help

Hi All,

Heading down in late May/Early June and have three nights at Boardwalk villas. I am now looking at three nights either at Kidani villas or cooper creek to complete the trip. All villas we are looking at are studios, we are a family of four with a 4 and 7 year old.

Kidani is a good deal cheaper so I am leaning toward that, but some of the images I have seen leave a lot to be desired. Ideally we will do one day at each park and I'd love a pool day at each resort to explore. Any insight on the differences between Kidani and Cooper Creek? We'd probably do our Animal Kingdom and MK days while staying there and Epcot and HS while at boardwalk.

Personally, I would choose CCV over AKV if you plan to attend MK during that part of your stay. But have you checked availability to see if CCV has any studios for your dates?

I too would choose CCV (BTW, it's Copper Creek, not Cooper) over Kidani. AK is a bus ride from either one but MK is a boat ride from CCV, and with kids 4 and 7, MK will be a major destination for you. OTOH I hear the pool and splash pad at Kidani are amazing, but we're not pool people, so I can't speak from experience.

If your family has never stayed on the savanna, I think it's worth a few days. It's one of the reasons I bought into DVC. Really such a magical property.

I would choose CCV because its a pretty cool resort and it’s easy to and from MK!

Samawati Springs (at Kidani) is an awesome pool

Since only SSR and OKW currently have more than 1 day, I say go with what is available. Unless you are talking about 2023, or already booked both CCV and Kidani and are trying to decide which one to cancel.
Kidani pool is great for kids, and the animals---the choice for kids.

I’d certainly go for CCV. Though you probably can’t go bad either way.
