Split stay dining

I thought I had read on here that dvc members could book their dining 180 +10 even on split stays? Today was our 180 day mark, I called this morning to make a reservation on the second stay and was told I couldn’t. Do I need to call dvc member services to do this or am I mistaken? TIA
