Split stay clarification

Ok first off, I've read other posts and know that:
-credits don't expire until midnight day of checkout
-that you can't use a credit from each of your split stay allotments to pay for a 2 credit meal....

But- here is the question I DO have-

We check in on Saturday night and were unable to get our stay (DVC) the whole time, so we are staying one night, then moving to our length of stay resort on Sunday. We plan on doing online check in for the second part of our trip, and were told that we don't have to go to the hotel that way. and can use our magic bands from the first night's resort so long as they are linked to our tickets. On Sunday, four people from our party are going to be heading to Jacksonville to catch an NFL game and won't be coming to the park. There are a total of 10 of us in our reservation (Grand Villa- all one reservation)...

On night one we won't be using any CS credits, leaving all 10 of our first reservation's credits for check-out day.

On day two (check out day) 6 of us are heading to the parks. We have lunch plans using 6 credits and then dinner plans for another 6 credits.

My question is:

1) can we head right to the parks using our "old" magic bands without physically checking in to the next resort and still have our new credits loaded? (Doing online check in)

2) will the system know to use 6 of "night one's credits at our lunch reservation, and not start deducting from our new allotment?

3) can we pay for 4 people off the "old credits" and 2 people off our new allocation at dinner?

Thanks in advance... Hope this all makes sense!!

It's been my understanding that you have to physically check into the hotel to activate your DDP credits. As far as I know, online checkin doesn't actually check you in, it's more of a pre-checkin.

Thanks... So if we go physically check in when we drop off the bags at the second resort. Will they still be able to know that we need to use the old credits first and then start depleting the new ones? we don't need our room number til later that day- but the guys who are heading to the football game can easily check us in early. We have done this before- but never had to deal with overlapping credits!
