I wasn't sure where to ask this question, so I hope this board is okay.;)

On my next trip- aiming for 2105- probably November, either part of Jersey week (1st Choice) or over thanksgiving (last choice!). We plan on splitting our stay between WDW and Universal. I would *love* to take an entire day to check out of our Disney Resort (probbaly Aoa) and check into the Universal Resort (no parks at all that day) , but unless my school district changes the calendar or loosens up the personal day restrictions, I just won't have the time to do that.

SO..... should I......

Option #1- check out of our Disney resort early in the morning, go to a Disney Park, go back to resort and catch some sort of transportation over to our Universal Resort, then check in and pass out.

OR

Option #2- Check out of our Disney Resort early, catch some transportation over to the Universal Resort, check in, and then head to one of the Universal Parks.

:scratchin

Or...... does anyone have any other suggestions? Should I ask this question on one of The Dark Side boards?
Thanks in advance, DISers!

Definately option one. I have the same problem, I'm doing a disney/universal split stay (but staying at universal first). We decided to just check out of the hotel early, stash our stuff at the front counter then leave the park a little early and move to disney!!!

I'd go with Option #1 and postpone Universal until the following morning, when one is more rested. I have no actual stats on comparative size of the real estate between Disney parks and Universal, but the latter always strikes me as larger and more of an exhausting hike to get around. Granted, I've never stayed at a Universal resort and have no knowledge of transportation/proximity/logistics from them. It may just be the walk to/from the Universal parking garage that seems interminably long to me. My "dogs" aren't only barking by the end of a day at Universal/Islands of Adventure, they are howling...

Have a great trip with whatever option you choose!
