Split Stay at OKW

My son (11) and I are going to be staying at OKW at the end of July/first of August for five nights in a studio. Because we are using two different people's points the first three nights are one reservation and the last two are another. For the first three we were able to book a room near the Hospitality House, but that was not available for the last two. My biggest concern is that we will be able to stay in the same room. Do we request that when we check in? Will there be any chance we will get to stay in a HH building, or should we just ask for another area so we can stay in the same room the whole time? Also if we can't get near the HH, what area do you recommend? One friend said she really likes the Turtle Pond area.

If you want to stay in the same room you will need both reservations to be booked as HH or non-HH. Your best bet would be to change the first reservation to non-HH as it is easier to get.

We love the Turtle Pond area as well but also enjoy Buildings 27-29 in the Peninsular Road area.

I agree that you need to change the first on to not HH or you will have to move. HH is a booking category and they fill up fast.

I like building 27 and 28. I also like 30 and 31.

Is Turtle Pond the only pool besides the main pool that has a pool side bar/snack bar? Can you fill mugs there?

The Turtle Pond pool and the Main pool are the only 2 pools with any food services. There is only soda machine vending at the Miller's Road and South Point pools.

The Turtle Shack at the Turtle Pond pool has very limited hours, and is open seasonally. When it is open and operating, you can get the mugs filled there, but unless it has changed, it is not a self service refill station, a CM will fill your mug for you.

Goods to Go near the main pool has a self service refill station.

I agree with the others, you would need to move if one reservation is a different booking category.

Ok I got both reservations changed to non-HH. Should I now have a good shot at staying in the same room for the duration of our stay? Do I just make this request when I check-in? What areas and or buildings do you recommend for the two of us?

You need to have reservations linked... please have members let DVC know...

Tagging along cuz I have the same problem. Except our first part is a DVC booking, the second part is a UK-cash booking. How do i get those linked?

Contact dvc with cash reservation no. so that they can note that you have a Continuing reservation....
