Split stay and magic bands

We will be paying our room charge with gift cards. I want to pay the night before checkout. How do I make sure my charges on the day we change rooms are charged to the second hotel?

Like you, I pay all of our room charges with gift cards. I go up to the front desk to personally check myself out that morning and make sure everything is settled and finalized with the first part of my stay. Then every charge I make after that, gets charged to the second half of my stay and I've never had any problems.

You need to know that credit card charges are run about 2 AM on checkout AM. If you wait until after that- the actual morning you check out to apply a Gift Card, it will be too late. The credit card on file will have been charged
