How do making FP+ selections work with split stays? We are checking in July 12 and changing resorts on July 18 - giving me 2 reservation numbers. I am making FP+ selections Monday for July 12 ressie. Do I have to wait a few more days to make them for the second ressie? or can I make them all Monday by linking the reservations somehow?

You'll have two separate booking windows for your split stay. Each will open at 60 days.

You should be able to book for both stays (up to 14 days) when your 60 day window opens. I would call to just make sure they are 'linked' and identified as 'continuous' stays. If you are staying longer than 14 days you can book the 15th day of fastpasses on the day after your 60 day window and so on...

my last 3 trips have been split stays. you can book all your FP's for both at 60 days of your first stay

I always get it mixed up - I too do split stays and yes, I've been able to book the length of my trip at 60 days for all legs of the split stay (last time we did 4 different resorts, our next one will be 3). For ADR's, I had a separate 180 day window per reservation.

I just called Disney and the CM said it is considered 2 separate reservations therefore I would need to do my fastpasses 2 separate days. I'm assuming he is new and not up to date on this info???

Just to be sure...I have a DVC split stay in the fall, 7 nights at BWV and then 2 at SSR. My FP+ window opens on Monday. Will I be able to book all the way through the SSR stay on Monday? I think I can, but want to be sure. Thanks!

Yes! Have fun and good luck!

That’s not correct.

When the window opens, FPs can be booked for the total days of all onsite stays - Split Stays have a fully open window.
HiroMYhero, this is true for a split stay that involves the Swan, too, right? Those staying at the Swan for a portion of the nights don’t need to do anything special so long as the hotel reservation is linked in MDE and all guests have been added to the hotel reservation and matched to a ticketed guest, correct?

Yes, it holds true for Swan. 😊 There have been posters with recent Swan splits and no reports of problems with booking.

Anything onsite. From the FP FAQ:

  • Guests staying at WDW owned and operated resorts (including DVC) with a room-only reservation and valid tickets booked separately and linked to an MDX account.
  • Guests staying at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Swan, Dolphin, or Shades Of Green resorts and valid tickets linked to an MDX account.
  • Guests staying at any of the following Disney Springs-area hotels and valid tickets linked to an MDX account: B Resort & Spa, Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort, DoubleTree Guest Suites by Hilton Orlando, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Resort Lake Buena Vista, Holiday Inn Orlando, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista.
  • Guests linked to or listed on an onsite guest's MDX account (controlled by the onsite guest) and valid tickets linked.
