Split stay and fastpasses

I’ve dug around a little bit but I’ve found so much information I’m not sure what the answer is.

We are staying at 4 different hotels on our next trip (we like to move around and experience different resorts!). Will we be able to book all our fastpasses 60 days out from the first reservation? They are all consecutive days but because we wanted to add an extra day at the beginning, we had to add an extra hotel (Shades of Green) because where we were originally staying at first is booked.

if there all onsite and have 60 day window you can book all fastpasses at once . you will have different booking windows for restaurants but

I have a 10 day trip planned in September. The first 6 nights we have a 2 bedroom villa booked as my parents are going to be with us. After they leave, DH and I are moving to a 1 bedroom villa, all in the same resort. I had to get separate reservation numbers. I was told that my Fastpass+ would only be for the amount of days for each reservation. In other words, I couldn't get all 10 days worth under the first reservation. Is that not right? To complicate matters more, our traveling party has the same room for the 10 night trip. So, theoretically, we could potentially not get faspasses for the same rides and times for the last 4 days or our trip. I assume restaurant reservations would work the same way. Thanks for any info or experience anybody can provide.

I had 2 different consecutive stays and I was NOT able to book them all at once. We booked the first days on Sunday and then today the rest of my days opened up.

Were both of these stays onsite?

last trip i stayed dolphin/caribbean/ AOT and booked all fastpass at 60 days . next trip dolphin/music and also booked all my fastpasses at once . we had same guest for all bookings which might have helped

Yes, both onsite with same checkout day as the second stay check in day. I also have lots of experience booking for both Onsite, Offsite and Split Stays. I book the FP and ADR for everyone in our party, but this time the split stay did not open for fastpass booking at the same time.

Sorry to pry, are any of those quasi on site stays, such as Shades of Green, Disney Springs hotels, etc? Just curious as to why you would not be able to book both.

Me neither! I asked the CM on the phone if they could somehow correct that, since I’m onsite for 6 nights, but she said she could not. The split stay is a Sunday night at Beach Club, and Monday-Saturday at All-star movies.

Such conflicting information. So I’ll have to wait for the 60 day booking window of each reservation? Because that’s kind of crummy. I don’t remember it being like that in the past and we always stay at two different hotels, at least.

Negative. You will have booked the entire ticket package on the first resy, presumably, so the 60 Day window opens based on that resi. If you booked two separate ticket packages, well you prolly shouldn’t ought to done that.

When is/was that trip? I had a split stay in November and have one coming up in April and had zero issues booking all FPs based on the first stay for both trips.

It's in May. We don't have packages, room only with AP's and Park Hoppers linked. There's really no reason that it didn't open all at once, other than the fact that it didn't. I had 2 booking windows.

I have an AP, and did not book a package at all. Room only reservation. However, the first night I couldn’t book at AS Movies, as it was unavailable, so there are two room reservations, May 10 at Beach Club (complimentary upgrade from CSR!) and May 11-16 at AS Movies.

This is what I asked about when a CM called to upgrade me to Beach Club. I said I had two reservation numbers, and asked if my FP window would cover both stays since I was onsite the whole time. She told me that she could not combine/link reservations and that I would have two booking windows as a result. That means my 60 days is sort of gypped, because I arrive on a Sunday, as do many other guests, but can’t book the rest of the park days until 60 days from my second reservation.

I just wanted to come and add my own experience, in case it’s helpful to anyone else. We have a split stay booked.
We also have APs (no other park tickets linked up).
- 1 night Coronado Resort
- 3 nights Beach Club Villas
- 7 nights OKW

Today was FP day and the entire trip opened up. I was able to book more than 7 days with our APs, since we were staying on site. It seems like this is generally how it works but I was very nervous reading other reports of split stays. Glad to say we lucked out.

I just booked my FP last week for my upcoming split stay and was unable to book the second half of my trip at the same time either. I had 5 day regular tickets with The first night at ASSp and the next 3 nights at Pop. I called and the guy at the internet help desk didn’t understand why I couldn’t book all at once either. He wound up making my second half FP for me.

What you describe is the way it should work with consecutive on-site stays.

The reports of multiple FP windows are a little troubling as that seems to be something new. Disney has tinkered with the programming of this in the past leading to strange results, not sure what’s up this time.

Yes, that’s the way it’s always worked for me too, even this past January. I’m a little nervous for sure that on March 11 I’ll only have one day of FPs allowed, but we’ll see. I’ll report back after that to let you know what happens this time. The CM was adamant that I would NOT be able to book them all, but you know how that goes with the phone calls and CMs.

It’s just kind of a bummer because we are DVC and at the 7 month window to book resorts other than your home resort, it’s pretty much impossible to get a full week at one resort. This is why end up doing split stays. I know it’s not the end of the world but it seems a little unfair. :confused3

I have an upcoming split stay (all room only) booked six consecutive nights staying at three Disney resorts. I purchased my tickets through undercover tourist linked them to MDE and was able to make fast passes for the entire trip based on 60 days from my first stay.
