Split ressies... is it too much of a hassle?

We have ressies through AAA for POFQ in Nov.. We decided to split the ressies so we could pre-order UPH's for the days we needed them for. Now, I am second-guessing my decision. The price difference is only about $10 for each UPH if we pre-order vs. purchasing when we arrive. The way we have the ressies now is one ressie for one night, then a seperate one for the following two nights.

Will this be a big hassle- going through checkout/re-checkin procedure? We are only getting a short vacation, and I don't want to spend time packing/changing rooms, etc. Thinking of just changing to a three night ressie, and purchasing UPHs at the resort and having them knock off the first day.

What do you think? Has anyone been through this? Thanks for the help!:wave2:

We've switched resorts twice so far.

Honestly, I don't think I'll do it again. It was a real hassle getting the bags up to room #1, then getting them over to resort #2 and to room #2.

Although there are very many DISers who do this & love it, all I can say is that I'd rather check in at one resort and enjoy my stay without trying to do a mini re-pack and move. It wastes alot of time that you could be doing something much more enjoyable.

Usually with the split reservations, they will do everything possible to prevent you from having to switch rooms. Generally the worst that happens is actually having to go back the front desk and check-out and back in. Often times, they will fix it so you don't even have to do that.

I have done split ressies for various reasons in years past and most of the time I had to come down to the check in/out desk each time a new stay began.

Heads up on splitting reservations/ changing resorts and also using Unlimited Magic Pass: For those nights and stays with the UPH, the total price of passes may be greater because each stay starts with a new UPH with a new first day admission rate. (The second UPH day costs less than the first, the third costs less then the second, etc.) This problem does not apply when the first and last nights are separate stays/reservations for the purpose of not purchasing UPH for the first and last days.
