We have a split reservation, actually 3 separate resorts my question is how does the 31 day cancellation window work? For instance a 2 day stay at one resort, then a one day stay followed by another 2 day reservation. Does each reservation have its own cancellation window?

Yes. Each reservation is treated as a unique stay and will have their own 31-day "cancellation without holding" window.

I would not wait that long. Member Services will not be open that late and if there are website issues, you will be out of luck.

Understood on the website, even as a newb we are finding that out fast. Just trying to be sure we understand when the drop dead date/time is for the cancellation w/o points going into holding as we are only a couple of days (I think lol) away from it. We do have the 3 separate reservations covering 5 nights which was the other thing complicating it a bit for us but I believe with your help I understand that now. Thanks!

I agree that one should never wait until the last minute to cancel, especially if it’s day 31.

I would also confirm with MS the time of day because there is conflicting information regarding banking. MS says end of business day and the website does indeed stop you from banking online after that end of business day time.

Holding penalty could be the same. The rules do not state a time. Before the website, it was Ms hours so if one thinks they would be close to that deadline, don’t take the advice here about 11:59 pm unless MA confirms it too.

If you plan on cancelling the reservations, you can cancel all of them at the same time. 31 days out for the first reservation at a minimum.
