Hey Folks,
Right now we own 150 points at SSR. We are thinking of purchasing a small contract at AKV so that we can have the option of booking 11 months out there, as it is currently our fav resort.
However, I recently heard from MS that if I own a small contract at AKV, I can only book and use my points for AKV??????
Ex. So if I have 150 points at SSR and 50 at AKV, if I book 11 months out at AKV, I can only book w/ my 50 points.
Is this correct?

Through banking and borrowing you would be able to use up to 150 points for a single reservation at AKV at 11 months.

Points from different home resorts cannot be combined until the 7-month point. So, you would not be able to mix points from different home resorts at the 11-mont point.

yes, but that is still using only your 50 pt AKV contract.

only AKV pts are good for booking AKV at 11 months out - no matter what else you own. similarly, pts from your AKV contract cannot be used to book SSR/THV at 11 months out.

(some people get confused by the quoted post and suppose that banking SSR pts makes them valid for booking AKV at 11 months out, which is not the case.)

nothing can make pts from one DVC resort valid for booking another DVC resort at 11 months out.
