Split DP and DxDp?

Can you split your stay and do DP for one half and DxDP for the other? I'll be paying OOP for a couple of dinners on the DP so if I could change to DxDp for a couple of days it would work out less expensive. Has anyone done this?

Unless you have an annual passholder in your party, or you are a DVC member, you will have to purchase park tickets for both halves of your trip, so you should include the cost of purchasing two types of ticket. No matter how you book, you will need two separate reservations, one with basic DP and one with deluxe DP.
