Splenda - How much is too much?

I use Splenda almost daily in my coffee. Around 2T. I drink up to four cups of coffee a day. I don't drink diet pop every day, but probably have 3 or 4 a week. I don't deny the possibility that artificial sweeteners are toxic, but I don't worry about it. :confused3

I did not offer an opinion as to whether it was a better or worse choice-just that it was not artificially created-my personal stance is that i try-although i do not always succeed-not to eat things that are not naturally a part of the human diet-unfournately i love dairy foods and over indugle in them.

Dr Oz's book states that there are some studies that have proven the side effects of artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, but sucralose, which is Splenda, has not yet been proven to have negative effects. Therefore, it is the only one he recommends. Also, I asked my own MD about it and he said Splenda was fine to use without restrictions.

Splenda gives me horrible migraines. I drink water with a splash of lemon 99% of the time. About once a week I have a Sprite (not diet) or homemade lemonade.

Fair enough. Too often folks jump to that erroneous conclusion - that natural is better and artificial is worse - that now it is almost second-nature to assume any equivocation mentioning that something is artificial is an aspersion. Sorry for jumping to that conclusion with regard to your comment.
