I seldom check the night times rides, as I assume they all will have very long wait times.
However, I checked this morning and found that the rides time for Splash and Pooh were showing 5 mins on the app at 8pm LA time.

So is this normal? or there was some events that caused this?

Seems normal to me. We rarely wait longer than 5 min for Pooh and Splash is normally fairly empty at night unless it's a particularly warm evening. SoCal locals aren't exactly the "pack your poncho" type.

We were there last week and it was nice during the day but pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. Splash had pretty low waits on those days. Maybe Pooh only gets really busy if Splash is busy?

We were there on Dapper Day (seemed to be a higher crowd level) and we walked right on both around 8pm (11pm closing). Now Haunted Mansion wait times... ;)

Ok, so I see. It is because of the cooler weather.
Well I was really surprised as it is ThanksGiving week and at 8pm the waits are rather low compared to the other mountain.

On the WDW Splash, I do not remember being wet after the ride. I guess like PP, there're different between the two Splash.

You can definitely get soaked on Splash, or you can be completely dry. It depends on where you are in the log, who else is in the log, and probably a bunch of other things. It's been pretty chilly at night here (for us anyway), I don't think I'd go on it so I'm not surprised at the short wait.

Pooh mostly has a 5 minute wait. If it's around 20 you can guarantee that is a very busy day at the park.

the other factor is that they are at an extreme end of the park at night, on a long day, it is cool, why bother, but we do like watching the fireworks (after seeing the show castle hub several times) thru the tall evergreen trees. We always poncho up, but I find that the drop at night is not as much fun nor is the floating under the cabins in the dark....or maybe I am just to tired to enjoy Chickapin

It's really easy. Once that cool California wind starts blowing through after the sun sets, it doesn't make much sense to go get wet. All last week, everytime I looked at the Disney App, Splash was a 5-10 minute wait after 6pm.

Its cold at night so very few people ride them. The cooler the temp, the shorter the wait time.

Pooh never has a long wait, it's normally at 5 min all day long. Splash gets shorter and shorter as it gets colder and colder.

We did Splash 3 times after the sun went down, I even sat at the 1st seat. Had my leather jacket on so the top was OK but the trousers were soak.
They dried out quickly due to the dry humidity so was ok.

A few years ago we happened to be in the area of Splash about 45 min before closing. We walked on, with no wait. The kids then ran back and did it another 5 or more times. It was probably the best part about the trip for them, they still talk about it! The way we looked at it was, we were headed back to the hotel anyway so if they did get wet it wouldn't be for long.
