This probably sounds silly to all of you Dis vets-but-do you get totally soaked on Splash Mountain? Enough that you would want to bring a set of dry clothes to change into?

Thanks!

Really love splash mountain, been on loads of times. Never been wet enough to need to get changed.

I agree, you normally do not get too wet, unkike you do on Kali. Actually, usaully the most wet you get is when the boat stops by a little waterfall after the big drop, you get some splashing from the rocks, but not soaked. Rarely, depending I think on the loading (heavier up front), the folks in the front can get fairly wet (but again, not soaked) from the big drop. I do not do Kali for that reason, but never miss Splash. Enjoy the trip, less than 11 days to go!!!! :bounce:

If you ask to sit in the back you should stay fairly dry, but even so we generally wear ponchos. The biggest problem on Splash, I think, is the water that's already sitting on the seats from the previous rides - now THAT can be a major cause of discomfort for a few hours in January.

You will get less wet if you are sitting on the left side. My husband was in the second seat on the right and was completely drenched from the little waterfall after the big drop.

You know how rides sometimes stop mid-stream (I think to let handicapped people on/off)? Well, we got stopped right at the waterfall. I was on the right and got completely drenched. We stayed in that spot so long that the water was finally turned off (thank goodness) from some nice castmember sitting somewhere...

Even though that was a total fluke, I never get on Splash mountain without a poncho! I usually look like a freak but I don't care too much. We had Pal Mickey last week, so I made a big show of pulling him from under the poncho... like that was why I wore it!
