how wet do you get on splash mountain? Do you get soaked or just splashed?

I've gotten pretty wet before, though not as wet as on Kali River Rapids at AK. The front rows get most of the water on the splashdown. Take a ziplock bag to put your wallet or camera in just to make sure they stay dry. I've never seen the need for a poncho.

If you're not in the front row, you probably won't get very wet.

The last time I was on it, I was in the front row, and I got every bit as wet as on Kali (a ride that I now avoid specifically because of that!!). You should have seen the look of horror on the college-age girl's face who was going to be getting into my seat.

I've been to Disney in January on my last 2 trips, so I was unable to ride Splash. But if I ever go back when the ride is open, I will most definitely request not to be in the front row.

We've found that the degree of wet depends on the temperature (they dial-back some of the splash/squirts during the cooler weather) and the loading of the log. If there are some heavy people in the front of the log, you can get wetter than if there are light people there - all other things equal.

You can get very wet to not wet at all. I have gotten the most wet from the splash when the other log goes down and we were just starting, but it splashed into our log and soaked my shorts. It does seem they dial the splashes back in the cooler months versus summer. Wear a poncho if you don't like getting wet

You can duck down too on the main splash. If you sit in the back it's not as bad.

All logs seem to have water on the seats though so you basically sit in water at the get go, especially if it was an empty sit before you board.

We got wetter when we rode in the front. I would say it was between just a splash and soaked. We were just splashed when we rode in the back.

If you're on Splash in the front row you will definitely get soaked, but the other rows aren't as bad. If you're there during summer, walking around will quickly dry you off.

Definitely wetter in the front and on warmer days. But I can tell you that I've gotten on and got a wet seat (must have been empty on the ride before) and that was all that got wet.

This has been my experience as well. I have gotten far wetter from other logs going down than I ever have from the actual drop of our own log.

We went in the heat of Summer and didn't get a drop. So, I really think the main thing is how the log is loaded, followed by where you are in the log.

In the front of the log, you will definitely get soaked. If you get placed in the front and don't want to get soaked, however, I suggest ducking when the big splash comes. The look on the people in the second row's faces as they realize that the front row didn't take any of the blow and got them soaked is hilarious [especially if they're family members]!
