Splash Mountain ride?

I never rode on Splash Mountain. When you get to the biggest drop, the one where they take your picture. Where is the camera located? Which side do you want to look at?

It's off to your right.

And the drop is HUGE and scary so I always (well almost) close my eyes....if I feel daring I open them but I think I've only done that twice....LOL

I wait for the flash of the camera and then I go into full huddle mode. I don't like that yucky green water getting in my face!

Yep, off to the right, just after you start down. You have time to smile big and raise your hands and then get your hands down to cover your face before the water hits you!

Better picture? In all the times I've ridden with DD in the back you can't even see her....

If you HATE drops like I do *please* *please* *please* note there are THREE drops before the big one! (and decent size ones to boot.) I to this day wish I would have known about that before I went on it my first time, most people don't mention it since they are not as big as the final one but from one drop-hater to another just be advised.

I would get a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain if I were you. Its usually one of the rides with a longish wait.

lol right.... that`s how I ended up drenched!!!! The CM put me first in the log with my DH right behind me, and they put 3 children and their mother behind us, needless to say I made sure no one else got wet I sucked up all the water.

I knew I was in for a drenching when we went down the first small drop and I got soaked.

To OP yep the camera is to the right , just smile and wave!!!

heh, we had the same problem. We looked at all these people getting off the ride and they didn't look wet so we decided to go despite it not being all that hot out. Well my wife and I sat up front and let's just say I am not the smallest person. There were some kids sitting behind us. We got drenched on the first drop as well.
