Splash Mountain refurb

At WDW, Splash Mountain seems to usually go down right after the new year and stay closed right up until spring break for refurb. Is it the same way at Disneyland? I'm trying to decide between WDW and Disneyland next year and my daughter is really excited to finally be able to ride Splash Mountain. I want to make sure we don't go when it is closed... like we did this year.

Bear (Brer? hehe) in mind the differences, so your daughter won't be surprised/disappointed. Splash is a bit faster and less elaborate inside the mountain at DLR, and the seats are one behind the other on a long bench, not roomy side-by-side seating as at MK.

That sounds about right. They had it closed when we were there in late January.

I concur with that.

We've gone to DLR the last two years in February and it was open last year for our visit and only down two days of our visit this year.
