When we exited SM today, our photo didn't show up on the screens on the way out, so we figured we missed it. So we noted the numbers of other photos and tried linking to nearly 100 photos in the app before and after the number we noted to try to locate ours - not there!

Is it possible that some photos are lost, unusable, aren't displayed/published for a particular reason? We're really disappointed we can't find it, even after going to great lengths to link over 100 photos to our account!!!

If someone in your log did something inappropriate, it is possible that Disney deleted it.

I thought about this, but doesn't the deletion generally happen after it's been put on the screen right after the ride (before making it available to link to account through G+)?

If it was deleted for inappropriate reasons it doesn’t show up on the screen and won’t be uploaded to the photo service so there won’t be any code.

Btw - one option if you have something like this happen while you're at the park - take note of when the photo was taken and go to the Photo Concierge in the Esplanade just to the left of Disneyland's main entrance. If the photo was taken and just didn't show up for some odd reason, they'll have access to all of the photos and can help add it to your account - just make a mental note of what time you rode the ride. (I can't say for sure if they'd have access to photos that were blocked for being inappropriate, but it'd be worth a shot.)

I’ve heard people discussing this before and it’s usually because someone in the photo didn’t have their mask on.

They might have been doing that originally, I'm not sure.

Lately, they displayed those and let people add them to their accounts - they just never showed up in the app. (I had all three of mine from Space Mountain in January be linkable but not available for download because of masks.)

But I don't believe that's still being enforced, now that the indoor mask policy has been lifted.

This was a thing way before the pandemic. It was called Flash Mountain for a while.

Right. But I think since the mask mandate for unvaccinated was dropped, it wouldn't be applicable anymore. Right?
