It would have been quite simple for Disney to limit purchases. But perhaps they wanted to divest themselves of their remaining stock as soon as possible.

I was able to get a set of three "beanie" brer's on Ebay at a relatively reasonable price. No way I'm paying $100-200 each for the larger plush dolls.
