I've just received an WDW email changing my Splash FP to Space FP :

"We're sorry, your previously confirmed FastPass+ selection for Splash Mountain® from 2:10 PM to 3:10 PM on 02/01/2015 is no longer available due to an unexpected change in the operating schedule."

I'm so upset cause I planned to catch Splash on our last day (the refurbshiment was planned until Jan 30). It was 4 years since my last trip ...

They announced a new re-opening day ? Did it happened to anyone else ?

That blows, especially since you can't pick it up another day. Glad I saw this because I too had it change from SM to BTMR except I didn't get an email.

That blows, especially since you can't pick it up another day. Glad I saw this because I too had it change from SM to BTMR except I didn't get an email.

I got the dreaded change notice too. Sad. I extended my trip by one day just for this. Silly, but I was really looking forward too it. Maybe it will open early and I can still ride before heading home on the 1st. Here's hoping!

I'm hoping it's just a preventive measure, but that at the end we manage to ride Splash that day

I got the same email. Thankfully we will be there the next day too and (at least for now) were able to get FPs for feb 2. Hope you get to ride it!

The good news for y'all is that this really is more of a preventive measure for now. Disney being Disney, they want to leave some leeway, so they don't risk seriously upsetting people should something go wrong with the refurb. Right now, it's still on the schedule as operating for that day. While that isn't a guarantee, Disney's pretty good at keeping refurbs on schedule.

Fingers crossed that it opens on schedule. We still have ours for Feb 2 which is our last day and Splash is DD's favourite ride (and it will be DS's first time being able to ride).
