where are the cameras located in splash mountain for the photo?
I'd like to be 'prepared', so can you give me some landmarks to be watching for?

Splash photo comes right after you come over top of the "big drop."
It is actually outside the mountain.

If you stand outside the ride and watch the logs coming down the big drop,
you'll easily see the flash of the ride photo camera.

And, there is no mistaking when you are about to TAKE that big drop.
The long, tall, slow "lift hill" just before the drop will tip you off (as will the two ominous vultures who are actually discussing aloud your fate) in no uncertain terms.

If you are a person who screams on big drops, as soon as your scream begins your photo will be taken.

um, more explanation on my part is needed.
no i don't scream.
we want to do something "goofy" for the picture, so want to know when we have to pose..

watched video, ok got it, seems easy.

now i never figured out where on dinosaur the camera was..............
is there a guide to where these are placed ?

All ride cameras flash in your face taking the picture. in dinosaur first you hear abort mission, then you'll pass under the log with a dinosaur holding it up, then a few second later you'll be told to brace yourself, the camera will flash and you'll see the large dinosaur head directly in front before the car dips down under it and "you made it!!!" I believe it's to the upper right of the truck but it's been awhile since I had a picture on dinosaur to look.

You want to pose as you crest the final lift hill and be prepared to hold in place as you're dropping, because your photo is taken during the drop. If what you're going to do is elaborate, be sure everyone knows to fight the urge to hold on--not everyone who tries to pose well actually pulls it off. If props will be involved, remember there will be a lot of air pressure/wind while you're dropping. Signs, especially (i.e. "Marry me", that sort of thing), will have to be carefully planned/rigid enough to not blow apart/away. You probably want to Google for Splash Mountain ride photos and you'll see what I mean. Anything vulgar or nudity will get your entire log's photo "washed away" before you see it.

You're thinking of the end of the ride.

The photo on Dinosaur is right after it's pretty much pitch black and then you come to a big carnotaurus on your right hand side. He lets out a loud roar and right when he does that's when the picture takes. It's about 3/4 the way through the ride. @muffyn
