Splash Mountain & BTMRR In The Rain

Can Splash Mountain and BTMRR operate in the rain?Thanks.

Hello WEDWDW. Someone else may be able to give a difinitive answer, but I believe BTMRR will not run during heavy rain (not sure about a drizzling rain), but Splash Mountain will.

NOt sure about BTMRR but for sure Splash Mountain goes in the rain. We rode it several times in a downpour.

We were there this past week and BTMRR was running in the rain, but once the rain picked up or at the sight of lightning, it was closed.

Splash was closed twice, but the ride was down. We actually saw people stuck on the ride. Other than that, it ran even when the sky was falling out.

well we were on Journey into the Imagination when it broke down because of rain....
well...not actually the rain....someone had dropped their rain poncho on the track somehow and it gummed up the works....
they had to take us off the ride in the middle and walk us out...
that was fun.....

the only other rides I've had to be taken off were Tower of Terror and California Screamin (and boy did i want to scream when we were taken off )

All outdoor attractions will stop operations when there is lightening in the area (there are specific guidelines for distance, etc.). Rain is usually not a factor, however severe weather/extremely heavy rain can cause problems.

I really didn't like it in the rain. It was March and a little on the chilly side. We did have our ponchos on but once we got stuck in the rain on the ride. Not fun at all.

In the rain they will operate but at the first sight of lightening they will shut down the ride until they get the okay.
