Splash Mountain and BTMRR seating question

We are a family of 5. All our children meet the height restrictions for these rides and really want to try them. However, it seems every picture I see of Splash mountain, the seating is rows of 2. The boys are small ages 7, 5 and 3. So one of us would ride with 2, the other with one. Can this be done on Splash mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?

Me, my DS (3 at the time, and very tall!) and DH have all been smooshed into one row on both SM and BTMR. I am not a small size, and my DH is pretty broad shouldered, yet they managed to pour us in..it was a major squash for BTMR, but SM was okay. We still go all in one row sometimes for SM (DS is 5 now) just to get the picture of us all together. We couldn't all fit in BTMR now I don't think.

I don't know about Thunder...but we have done three in a row on Splash, no problem! We have actually done one adult and two kids or two adults and one kid!

as long as you can comfterbly sit 3 to a row you should be fine and since your children are young they tend to be small so you deffinatly should have no problem sitting 3 to a row....

Put the 7 and 5 year old together and one of you ride with the 3 year old and the other alone. The minimum requirement to ride "by yourself" is 7 years old. As long as you are in the adjoining seats though, that arrangement should work out!

Splash mountain we did 3 across... I am about 130lb, other person about 185, and our 5yr old neice.
Thunder mountian in order to get 3 we fit 130lb, 120lb, and the 5 yr. old (a little tighter quarters....
I did hear that if you ride Thundermountain in the afternoon in the back its quicker. Something about the grease on the tracks being softer?? I think I may have read it in a book?
