I love going in Jan, but every year there is a big ride closed for our entire trip. This year it is splash moutain, again. We were able to ride it one day before it closed on our last trip. This time its closed for almost an entire month. Its my 7yo DS favorite ride...

Ohh well I guess, its the price for smaller crowds and shorter lines. We'll have a blast anyway :wizard:

RnRC is too, DS very unhappy - he'll be there for honeymoon.

We are in the same boat (or log ;) ) as you, dpuck1998! We will arrive at WDW 3 days after Splash closes. Boo!! That is one of DD's favorite rides, so she is bummed. We will be at MGM the day before RnR closes, but DD doesn't do that ride, and since this is a Mother/Daughter only trip, I won't be riding it, either. DD is only 8, so she's too young to wait for me to ride.

We will be there for our 4th trip this January. It has only been open once in the 4 trips we have taken(4th will be this upcoming trip).
Splash has to be the highest maintenance ride they have. It is getting kind of crazy that it is always down. I know we go in January and that is one of the down sides, but give us a chance once in a while.

This seems to be the major drawback to vacationing in January. I'm sorry some of you will be missing Splash. I rememebr missing out on Test Track once and being so bummed about it.

Isn't something always down for rehab? (Maybe a few exceptions). There is so much at WDW, please enjoy what IS available, and know that when you return, those rehabbed attractions will be there for you to enjoy.:earsboy:

Has the R&RC closure been confirmed officially, or is it still a rumor?

We loved going in January, but one year it semmed that not only did they close a few "biggies" for rehab, but other rides would be just "closed" for a day, with no explanation. I remember one night, walking to Norway and that ride was just closed and then heading to Mexico, and that ride was closed - this was around 7pm. Now we go in August, brave the heat, and enjoy very few "rehabs".

As someone else said, just enjoy the rides that you can do, and all those "walk on's" will surely be sweet! Have fun.

We missed that last year :-( Along with Buzz. We were able to hit splash our first day last year, but it was closed the rest of the trip.
